About Us

Skills Goes Rural is a non-profit company, established to uplift communities and build the youth of South Africa through sport and comprehensive skill development, focusing on bully awareness and contributing to mental health.

•SGR is based on two principals: (1) our responsibility to contribute to the comprehensive development of our kids and (2) creating a safe and creative environment that is conducive to learning and mental growth.

​

•Children and youth from the age of 3 to 17 can enjoy this wonderful and easy way of learning the necessary social, life and physical skills while contributing to mental health.

​

•The SGR comprehensive skills development program was developed out of a real passion for physical education and children and is improved annually as new training techniques and methods are incorporated into the program.

•Providing children with a solid foundation in mobility, develop greater self-confidence and self-esteem, and will naturally want to participate in physical activity.

​•Participation in physical activity develop a whole new range of key life skills, improve behaviour and attitude and help young people make better lifestyle decisions.
